The mission of Shelterhouse (Council on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault) is to eliminate domestic and sexual violence by providing advocacy, education and shelter to people in Midland and Gladwin counties. The Midland County Emergency Food Pantry Network is a non-profit, tax-exempt charitable organization established in 1983 as a cooperative effort among area churches and other organizations to provide a means of supplying food and supplies to people in Midland County who have emergency needs and are living near or below Federal poverty level income guidelines. Carriage Town Ministries has been caring for the hurting and homeless in Flint, Michigan, since 1950.
